Meet Dr. Jonathan Cabin
Dr. Cabin is a board certified head and neck surgeon specializing in facial plastic & reconstructive surgery, with an emphasis in parotid reconstruction. He completed extensive training in the most cutting-edge plastic and reconstructive surgery techniques for parotid surgery and is able to provide patients with the best results possible. When treating parotid patients, Dr. Cabin’s goal is to provide them with beautiful aesthetic results while mitigating complications such as Frey’s Syndrome and preserving their facial nerve function so that their smile is just the same after surgery as it was before.
Training & Accomplishments
Dr. Cabin completed medical school at Yale School of Medicine, where he earned multiple scholarships for his academic achievements. He went on to receive sub-specialty training at the prestigious New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in Manhattan in head & neck surgery and facial plastic surgery.
After completing his residency program, Dr. Cabin was selected by Dr. Babak Azizzadeh and Dr. Babak Larian as the fellow for their elite facial plastic & reconstructive surgery fellowship-training program in Beverly Hills, CA. This fellowship is only offered to one surgeon per year. During his fellowship, Dr. Cabin received intensive technical and academic training in all aspects of facial aesthetic and functional surgery, including highly specialized parotid tumor removal, facial nerve preservation, and facial reconstruction following tumor removal. As a result of his excellence in the program, Dr. Cabin was invited to join the team at the CENTER for Advanced Parotid Surgery.
In addition to treating patients, Dr. Cabin is dedicated to advancing the field of facial plastic & reconstructive surgery by publishing numerous textbook chapters and peer-reviewed articles. His articles and chapters include topics such as facelift surgery, rhinoplasty, ear reconstruction and the use of botulinum toxin (Botox©) in the treatment of facial paralysis.
Dr. Cabin is passionate about helping everyone in need of medical care and has travelled abroad to countries such as Peru and China to perform much-needed surgery on children with cleft lips and palates. Dr. Cabin looks forward to continuing his medical mission trips in the future and helping as many people as possible.
