Dr. Babak Azizzadeh’s career is built on world-class surgical training, academic excellence, and leadership across facial plastic surgery, facial nerve reconstruction, and advanced facial rejuvenation. He completed his medical education and Head & Neck / Facial Plastic Surgery residency with Dr. Larian at the UCLA School of Medicine before pursuing a highly competitive fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Harvard Medical School, where he later served as a Clinical Instructor. Dr. Azizzadeh currently holds the position of Clinical Chief of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and co-directs one of the most prestigious AAFPRS Fellowship Programs, training the next generation of facial plastic surgeons.
He is the President of the Sir Charles Bell Society—the world’s leading organization dedicated to facial nerve science—and serves as the President Elect for the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. A pioneer in facial nerve surgery, he has developed innovative techniques including Scarless Facial Reanimation™ and selective neurolysis for facial nerve disorders. His commitment to scientific advancement extends to his work as co-founder of MACRO Trials, a technology-driven platform using AI to accelerate clinical research.
