Meet Our Staff

RACHEL GORDON, MDHead & Neck Radiologist

Considered very best radiologist in the industry, Dr. Gordon has been practicing head and neck radiology in Los Angeles since 1997.

In addition to possessing expertise in all aspects of imaging the brain, spine, head and neck, Dr. Gordon is vastly experienced in all modalities of imaging the neck to localize tumors. As such, she is often sought after to provide second opinions and ensure a definitive diagnosis.

After graduating with honors from the University of Colorado Medical School, Dr. Gordon completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. From there, she completed a two-year fellowship in Neuroradiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis. She holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology from the American Board of Radiology and is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.

CALVIN JOHNSON, MDAnesthesiologist

A leading expert anesthesiologist, Dr. Johnson is an integral part of the team at the CENTER for Advanced Parotid & Facial Nerve Surgery. In addition, Dr. Johnson has also been a staff anesthesiologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since 2000.

Dr. Johnson achieved both his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and his medical degree from the esteemed Dartmouth College. From there, he completed his residency in anesthesia at the prestigious Harvard Medical School -- Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital and Beth Israel Hospital -- with a specialization in pediatric and obstetric anesthesia. Dr. Johnson is a member of the Diplomat American Board of Anesthesiology and Diplomat American Board of Pain Medicine.

Additionally, Dr. Johnson lends his time and expertise to the HOPE Foundation, a non-profit organization providing free medical care to the less fortunate all around the world. In his free time, he enjoys participating in basketball, skiing and playing tennis, as well as spending time with his colleagues at the CENTER.

DAVID CHOI, MDAnesthesiologist

3Dr. Choi is a board-certified anesthesiologist at the CENTER for Advanced Parotid & Facial Nerve Surgery, where he provides expert medical care to patients undergoing surgery. In addition, he has been a staff anesthesiologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since 2003, and is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists as well as the California Society of Anesthesiologists.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Michigan, Dr. Choi achieved his medical degree at Michigan State University in East Lansing. From there, he completed his residency in anesthesiology at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles before becoming an integral part of the team at the CENTER.
