Dr. Slattery is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology -- Head and Neck Surgery, with special expertise in otology and neurotology. His extensive knowledge in cranial structures and facial nerve function and disorders make him uniquely qualified to ensure optimal outcomes for the most complex parotid removal cases at the CENTER for Advanced Parotid & Facial Nerve Surgery.

Training & Accomplishments
After earning his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Dr. Slattery received further training as an otolaryngology resident at the University of Florida. From there, he completed a fellowship in neurotology and skull base surgery at the House Clinic in Los Angeles.
In addition to his work at the CENTER for Advanced Parotid & Facial Nerve Surgery, Dr. Slattery works in private practice at the House Clinic and serves as director of the Clinical Studies Department at the House Ear Institute (HEI) and is a respected professor of otolaryngology at the University of Southern California.
The recipient of countless awards, Dr. Slattery is considered to be a foremost expert in facial nerve and parotid gland disorders. He currently serves as the otology and skull base section editor for the preeminent Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Journal, as well as the histopathology section editor for the peer-reviewed Otology & Neurotology.
